Chloe has one plan for the future, and one plan only: the road. She’s made a promise to herself: don’t let anyone in, and don’t let anyone love her. She’s learned the hard way what happens if she breaks her rules. So she’s focused on being invisible and waiting until she can set out on the road—her dream of freedom, at least for a little while.

Blake Hunter is a basketball star who has it all—everything about him looks perfect to those on the other side of his protective walls. He can’t let anyone see the shattered pieces behind the flawless facade or else all his hopes and dreams will disappear.

One dark night throws Chloe and Blake together, changing everything for Blake. For Chloe, nothing changes: she has the road, and she’s focused on it. But when the so-called perfect boy starts to notice the invisible girl, they discover that sometimes with love, no one knows where the road may lead.

My Review:
This book follows the story of Chloe and Blake, when Chloe thought of the future she only had one goal in her life to finish school and go on the road, her life has been anything but easy. Faced with loss from early age Chole had vowed not to let anyone in to never fall in love she just wants to fade into the background.

On the outside Blake has it all a beautiful girlfriend, basketball career. But his life is anything but perfect, his relationship with his girlfriend is for convenience to the both of them. His father doesn’t respect his dream of playing ball and wants to join the army and his mom, but his mum lives in their guest house. He is desperately trying to hold it all together. But one fateful night Chloe and Blakes path will cross and forever change their course, suddenly Chloe is not as invisible as she wants to be unlikely friendships forms and their walls are very slowly coming down. Falling in love was never the plan, Where The Road Takes Me is a beautiful coming of age story. It is a story of taking what life throws at you and accepting the cards that you’re dealt, but this story is story is of true love and faith.

This story had me from the first flip of the page I was very much intrigued with what was going on with Chloe and what secrets she keeps close to her. Blake was a very amazing match for Chloe, he made her see that life was worth living for and made her take the risk of falling in love. This book is a heartwarming story, that made me laugh, cry a lot of tears and fell in love with every page.
