Author Bio:

Shea Berkley started out writing nonfiction (not so fun) and quickly moved into fiction (totally fun), and knew she'd found her calling. (Her family was thrilled she'd found friends to play with even if they weren't technically real.) She's still pleasantly surprised people are willing to pay to read her stories. Besides writing, her many diversions include kickboxing, reading awesome books and hanging out with her loud and rambunctious family. With five kids (all girls), her biggest job is to make sure the little darlings don't harass the neighbors and then play dumb when the cops come knocking on her door.

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
An emotional love story that follows the touch-and-go relationship of Hayden and Tenley; two young people who desperately want to love and be loved but are afraid to completely let go of their pasts.

As Hayden and Tenley navigate their newfound but slightly unstable relationship, they want to trust each other, but Hayden is hiding a dark and shameful past that he doesn't ever want Tenley to find out about. And Tenley has secrets of her own that could make Hayden run away forever. When Tenley asks Hayden to put a beautifully elaborate tattoo across her back, the two form what they thought was an unshakeable bond. But when Tenley's past shows up on her doorstep, will Hayden stand by her side...or run?

My Review:
This book was certainly a page turner for me, you get so captivated that sometimes you do not even realise how long it really is. I was never really fond of tattoos or body piercing, until I had the chance at reading this book, but the detail described of Hayden’s tattoos, showed that the author is definitely a fan of tattooing. It is pretty obvious when an author does not do proper research, this author definitely knows her stuff and what she is writing about. Even though I have never once stepped foot in a tattoo parlor the descriptions were so perfectly written that I felt like I was standing in one.

When have a dual point of view makes it less surprising for you, you get to know so much about both character. I wonder what it would be like if it was told just from one person’s point of view, but I have to say that I did not really see the ending coming at all. And what shocked the sxxt out of me. It is a good ending that leaves wanting and waiting for more in the next book.

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
After seventeen-year-old Haley Sullivan meets a mysterious stranger who plays by his own rules, she's more than determined to learn every trick of the trade from the master himself. But her dream-chasing mentor disappears after that night, and according to the local newspapers, he's been dead for years. Knowing he's very much alive, Haley enlists best friend Linzi to join her on a scavenger-hunt-style road trip that ultimately lands them in the surf town of Crescent Cove, California. Mystery guy is no mystery here, though – he's Colby Taylor, the west coast's biggest professional surfer.

If Haley wants to talk to the wave rider again, she'll have to get past his four intimidating bodyguards who are highly skilled in the business of sending starstruck fangirls back to where they belong. Haley is up for the challenge if it means chasing her dreams and escaping the perfectly corporate future that's been planned for her. But dealing with these bodyguards isn't exactly what Haley imagined it'd be. Sure, being thrown off a jet ski sucks, but falling in love with one of them might just be worse.

My Review:
This book was really good, I really did enjoy reading it. It was full of adventure and fun moments, memories to be kept always. It was a challenge because chasing someone who you didn’t even know is like hunting for treasure that can’t be found until someone helps you. I just can imagine every details of the book and I miss my beach days with my friends. Road trips are always the best when you’re either with family or friends. I kind of know the feeling of not wanting to go back to reality.

This story is full of happy emotions that was one of the reasons why I enjoyed reading it, I loved the characters they were very friendly all except Colby/Spencer. If this ever happened in real life it would have been fun, I liked how the author created the story with twists and turn it was exciting especially with Vin in the mix.

But the unexpected love romance between 2 of the characters was really unexpected, I liked them both very much (stink the book ended). From one badass guy to this unreal romantic guy the next was good I think it suited him well and to the girl who went with her gut and chased her dream yet found her someone was worth reading the book.

Release Date: January 10th 2012
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal, Vampires, Fantasy, Romance, Mystery
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | Amazon AU | Amazon UK

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
It's one thing to find out you're a vampire princess. It's a whole other thing to actually rule. Newly married Jessica Packwood is having a hard enough time feeling regal with her husband, Lucius, at her side. But when evidence in the murder of a powerful elder points to Lucius, sending him into solitary confinement, Jessica is suddenly on her own. Determined to clear her husband's name, Jessica launches into a full-scale investigation, but hallucinations and nightmares of betrayal keep getting in her way. Jessica knows that with no blood to drink, Lucius's time is running out. Can she figure out who the real killer is —and whom she can trust— before it's too late?

My Review:
Beth Fantaskey did an amazing job on picking up where she ended things in Jessica’s Guide To Dating The Dark Side. Everything in this book I fell in love with. When you start reading you are literally thrown in the deep end right into the plot of power, now that her marriage to Lucius is over with Jessica is learning to reign as Queen. She is learning the laws, language and the how to of being a good Queen to her people. I like that Jessica is showing her flaws, but she is having trouble in learning in what she needs to do. I also like that he does not hide it but really stresses over it. But with all the stressing Jessica and Lucius make a great team. That is what a real marriage is all about, working together, having each other’s back no matter what life throws at you?

It was amazing to see the growth of each character in the book, Jessica starts off rocky not really sure how to stand on her own 2 feet always relying on Lucius. But now it is good to rely on your husband but there will be times where you have to eventually stand on you 2 feet without the help. Soon as trouble rose Jessica took everything in with amazing strength, she was very stressed and tired but she knew what was needed to be done. You have to admire her ability to keep a straight face with all the death and trouble looming around her. But as always in the end Jessica is awesome at being a Queen in her own right.

Source: Purchased from Book Depository
Release Date: February 1st 2009
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal, Vampires, Romance, Fantasy, Supernatural

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
The undead can really screw up your senior year ...

Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancé. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction.

My Review:
Jessica’s Guide To Dating On The Dark Side is very refreshing and a good change from what I normally read in my spare time. It is a book where our main characters are Vampires but one character just doesn’t know it yet, Jessica is a normal American teen that is until Lucius appears in her life and told her that she is his long lost fiancé and a Romanian Vampire Princess. Lucius is a vampire who has to bring and marry Jessica to save a war between Jessica’s family and Lucius’s family. The relationship between Lucius and Jessica was very intriguing to read about and I did not know where it would lead, if they were going to end up being together.

I liked the arranged marriage part because I have never read about that before, it made the book a little unique in its own way sort of. I was able to relate to Lucius and Jessica. There are a lot of twists and turns and surprises in this book, but it felt like you knew what was going to happen in the end anyway but it is still able to surprise in the end too, so it really doesn’t disappoint you any way possible.

Book Blitz: Neighbors With Benefits

Neighbors With Benefits by Marissa Clarke

Publisher: Entangled: Lovestruck
Release Date: June 30th 2015
Genre: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | B&N

Synopsis:
A satisfying category romance from Entangled’s new Lovestruck imprint…

Love thy sexy jerk of a neighbor…

CEO Michael Anderson might be something of a “control freak.” Still, he’s not quite sure why his therapist thinks dogsitting will fix anything—especially since he and the canine share a kind of mutual loathing. And to make matters worse, a house sitter moves in next door disrupting his peace—and his dates—with the worst possible music at the worst possible time… every time.

Free-spirited artist Mia Argaropolis has settled into the perfect gig—housesitting in NYC’s Upper West Side while working as an art therapist. Too bad she’s stuck living next door to a bossy control freak with a penchant for calling building security when she blasts music to drown out the noises coming through his bedroom wall.

Post-apocalyptic dinner rolls that nearly take her kitchen with them, a douchebag ex, and a Shih Tzu with the personality of Godzilla attack Mia in one day, and her unlikely neighbor comes to the rescue. Like it was her fault. And now, somehow, they find themselves engaged? Both agree, this neighborly feud just got taken to a whole new level.

Excerpt:
“This shouldn’t happen…can’t happen.”
“Shouldn’t and can’t are very far apart, Mia. Which is it?”
“I can’t.” She could actually hear her own heartbeat. “No” wasn’t an answer Michael Anderson was accustomed to, but then, Mia wasn’t his usual fare. There had to be a way to make him understand. “If it were two years ago, we’d be naked on the floor of this car.”
He groaned.
“But I’m smarter now. Jason taught me to never eat french fries.”
His eyes narrowed at the mention of her ex. “What do french fries have to do with having sex with me?”
“Everything. See, you are the french fry. Delicious, salty, easy going down.”
He covered his face and groaned again. “Oh, God. Stop. You’re killing me.”
“But you’re terrible for me. The worst possible thing.”
“No. I’m not.”
“I need more than fast food, Michael. Like I told you last week on Bow Bridge, I need a true friend. Someone who wants me for me. Just like a french fry, you might be what I crave, but you’re not what I need as a regular diet to stay healthy.”

Publisher: Champagne Books
Release Date: April 6th 2015
Genre: Thriller
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US

Synopsis:
After the events of Blood Money, CIA case officer Bai Hsu is assigned to a high-security private school for what he’s told is an easy assignment. Just a few months after he arrives, a hostile operative with ties to North Korea tries to break in to a school event, with motives unknown.
As his investigation progresses, he unravels a plot that, if not stopped, will result in the untimely and murderous deaths of tens of millions of people.
Bai Tide is Bai’s greatest challenge yet. A mission that will take him from the windswept beaches of San Diego to a whiteout blizzard in the foothills of Pyongyang, and make him question everything he thought he knew about working in the field…and about himself.

Excerpt:
I hadn’t dressed for a foot pursuit across the beach and was losing ground fast. My shiny black dress shoes burrowed into the dry sand with every step and my tuxedo jacket flapped open as I pumped my arms and tried to gain on the man I’d chased away from the Hotel Coronado a minute ago. The San Diego evening was cooler than you’d expect. Brisk gusts of wind bounced off the sea at sporadic intervals beneath a full moon blazing out of a cloudless, star-spattered sky.

Rolling breakers hurled salty spray into my face as I tore the jacket off and dropped it behind me. My quarry raced ahead, undeterred by the crappy footing. Under five and a half feet tall, with a body fat percentage that had to be in the low teens, he wore a baggy all-black ensemble, complete with a matching ski mask, bulky infrared goggles, and combat boots that kicked up little spits of sand with each stride.

Whoever he was, his speed was impressive; he widened the gap between us by almost two paces for each one I took. Something in the way he was running made me think he knew where he was going. Unless he planned on running south all the way to Mexico, the most likely place was the parking lot of a condo complex a quarter mile ahead. I had to assume he’d prepared a contingency plan in that parking lot somewhere. Guns, explosives, sharp rocks, something painful of that nature. If I didn’t catch up with him before he reached his defense cache, I had the feeling I wouldn’t like the welcome.

“Enough of this crap,” I said as I stopped just long enough to pry off my shoes. A daily barefoot run on the beach routine has some advantages, not the least of which is being able to keep up with Splinter Cell rejects during nighttime sand chases.

My Review:
There have been a few books that I have been reading lately that were written in third person it was a real change to all the other books I usually read in first person. But I find that stories being told in first person have so much more emotion and personality. This story stars with Bryn recapping a failed mission along side Ridley and she is beating herself up over that failure.

I really enjoyed read this book, I grew to love the characters in the story, but I fell in love with them in the first book Frostfire. I did not understand the ending or how much depth that went into it until I properly read the synopsis of Frostfire again, it was like I light switch flicked on.

A fun & sexy New Adult Romance (age 17+)

My Review:
Kinsley has been cheated on twice by her 2 ex-boyfriends and she does not let the get her down. I love that so much about her character, she is 1 of very few female main characters in books made for women. Earlier on we had the chance at meet 1 of the seniors Tara aka queen of all bitches, who has it out so bad for Kinsley. Poor Kinsley gets treated like she is dirt on the bottom of Tara shoes, she also second guesses about speaking out. But in the beginning is well she crushes on Liam Wilder straight away, and it is soon apparent that they have a thing for one another. Kinsley cannot shake her attraction for Liam and we soon see that the said attraction goes both ways, but with all that happen everything becomes twisted in the quest to have Liam, but not to get him into trouble or get herself into trouble and to also stay out of Tara’s devious games.

Liam Wilder is helping out with the College girls soccer team, he is been in hot water with most of his sponsors and he needs to clean up his act. So he is here helping out the team when he gets to know Kinsley things become very intimate and hot with the 2 of them and they are literally hiding their forbidden relationship with him being her coach and all that.

Book Trailer:

Excerpt:
Sasha
I’m not a player. I know there are girls out there who do this kind of thing for a living. They scout out prospective husbands. Dress up, put on a show, try to hook one with the bait.
I have no bait. I’m cute—not sophisticated like my mom’s friend Rook, or badass like her friend Veronica, or even smart and sassy like my mom, but cute. A Smurf, they used to call me. And those ladies are the only real role models I ever had growing up. That’s it. The extent of my wily ways with men come from half-ass copy-catting people who have more game in their pinky fingers than I have in my whole body.

So I’m at a complete loss here. Because Jax insists on treating me like a woman. And I’ve spent a good number of years trying to avoid this kind of scenario. The kind that sweeps you off your feet. The kind that jumpstarts your heart and makes it hum in a way you never thought possible. The kind that makes you doubt all those pledges you made to yourself through the years.
I will never love again. I will never give my heart to a man. I will never have to endure the crushing reality that comes after the only person I ever wanted to be with practically begged me to forget about him.
I tried it, it just didn’t work. I can’t just erase my first crush. I can’t just throw away the one thing I held onto after my father died. I kept the boys at bay all during high school. I didn’t even lose my virginity until my first year of college. Ford made sure of that. The memory of his crazy overprotective antics as I grew up make me smile.
So I don’t have much experience.

But Jax is a player, I can see that now. He’s got me wound up tight. My head is pounding with the possibilities he comes with.
Sex being one of them. I have not had sex in over two years. And I’m not one of those girls who go for a toy at the first hint of a dry spell. After two years though, I’m considering that option.
But now Jax is here. Kissing me. Making my whole body tingle. Awakening the desire I’ve pent up for so long.
“Are you afraid of planes, Sasha?”
I look over at Jax. “What?”
“Does landing bother you?”
“No,” I say, confused. “Why?”
“You’re squeezing my hand so hard, you might be cutting off my circulation.”

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
When I was eleven, my best friend died in a car accident. When I was twelve, my mom walked out, leaving only a note to say goodbye. When I was eighteen, I was forced into witness protection.

My new name is Shyanne Adams. To protect myself, and painless existence, I do not live. I do not laugh. I do not love. For the last three years, the only meaningful thing I’ve done is care for the horse I rescued.

But now, at the age of twenty-one, the one person from both my past and present is pushing me to start living. Before I know it, I’m moving in with new friends who make me laugh. And next door is Kade Cross, the guy who wants me to love.

Kade knows that I will complicate his life, but he welcomes the challenge. He sees that I’m broken, but he doesn’t try to fix me. When he knows I’m trying to push him away, he braces for the impact.

What Kade doesn’t know is that I could have to relocate at any time. So I have to decide: is experiencing love for a short time worth the pain of losing it?
This New Adult Romance is an emotional journey through pain and healing as Shyanne decides to start living again, but never forgetting she could lose this life… just like her last one.

My Review:
Man this was a fantastic love story about a girl finally coming out of her protection shell, our character shy is put in a pretty bad situation with help from a few new buddies she meets on her journey she was able to learn to live life to the fullest and learn to love eventually.

The author out did herself with the book she did a great job at developing the characters and I found it was easy to love this book with all the characters even if it was a little unbelievable. Big ups to the author she did awesome job and keep these good books coming.

Author Bio:
Deanna Eshler
I'm a Licensed Clinical Counselor, with a masters degree, but I choose not use my degree. In 2013 I quit my job, working with foster kids and families, to stay at home with my 2 kids. That decision is one of my better ones to date.

In addition to my education in counseling, I am certified through EAGALA to provide Equestrian Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). That training, and subsequent work using horses to help kids heal, is partially where my inspiration for Shy's story began. Watching children, and families, gain insight into their own behaviors through the horses has been an amazing process. I should mention that I'm not currently using this certification either. I like to gather information, training, titles, but I'm not big on utilizing my new skills.

I started reading, for fun, around 2007. I thank Harry Potter for showing me that escaping in a book is the best therapy. Since that time, I have read more than 500 books. This is one thing I have stayed committed to. I prefer audio books, since I can fold clothes and read at the same time, but I usually have a kindle book I'm reading simultaneously.

I decided to write my own novel when I realized there are not enough books in the New Adult genre. This is my favorite genre, thanks to Colleen Hoover and Jamie McGuire. Once I started writing Shy's story, I couldn't have stopped if I wanted to. Sometimes she would wake me in the middle of the night to tell me what the next chapter was about. Writing her story, as well as her horse's-Walker, was an emotional adventure. I hope you enjoy reading her story, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

One more strike and she's calling the dog out--unless she and Rylan admit that the attraction they're feeling is a game-winning grand slam. . .

My Review:
Kate Angell is a phenomenal writer of this exquisite romance novel that I myself fell instantly inlove with. There is this one hot sexy famous baseball player who hires a PA to keep himself and his 4 dogs very organized, he has 2 dachshunds, a golden retriever and a very smart and cheeky Great Dane that goes by the name of Atlas. But apparently Atlas has his own agenda, which he forces the lovely, beautiful and caring Beth Avery and his own Rylan Cates together every chance he gets. Who would think to know that a Great Dane can play match maker. Beth is doing this PA for the cash before moving on but with this smart handsome Atlas trying to force her and his owner to confess their feeling for one another, her job may have gotten a little hotter than usual and very harder by the second. In the time that they are together can Beth and Rylan admit their feeling for one another? Or is Atlas’s attempts in match making fail?

Blog Tour: Beyond The Cut (Sinner's Tribe MC #2) by Sarah Castille (Excerpt + Giveaway)

Beyond The Cut (Sinner's Tribe MC #2) by Sarah Castille

Release Date: June 2nd 2015
Genre: Adult, Romance
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | B&N

Synopsis:
She’s Holding on Tight.

As a teen, Dawn Delgado ran from a life on the streets straight into the arms of Jimmy “Mad Dog” Sanchez, a biker who promised to be her knight in shining armor. But his love was just another cage. Ten years later, Dawn is determined to start over again—and be the kind of woman, and mother, she was meant to be. Could it be that Cade “Ryder” O’Connor, a member of a rival club, is the answer to her prayers?

Will He Give Her the Ride of Her Life?

A loyal member of the Sinner’s Tribe, gritty outlaw Cade is another hard-living, hard-riding biker who’s willing to sacrifice everything that defines him—because that’s what losing the cut means. Dawn can’t deny the full-speed attraction that blazes between them, or the safety she feels in his leather-clad embrace. But will Cade’s love lead her down the road to her dreams? Or will she arrive at yet another dead end?

Excerpt:
“I’m meeting a friend who’s seeing the deputy sheriff. Dawn . . .” Christ. He didn’t even know her last name. Par for the course. He usually didn’t care about a woman’s last name when he was buried deep inside her. Or her first name, for that matter. But Dawn wasn’t like the others and he silently berated himself for not making the effort.
“Dawn. No last name.” The receptionist lifted a manicured eyebrow in censure, and Cade scowled.
“Just make the call.”
Five minutes later, accompanied by two suspicious police officers, he walked into the intake area of the sheriff’s office. An assortment of drunks, vagrants, and a few high school girls in cuffs were seated in the waiting area. All the desks were in use, and the air was thick with the stench of unwashed bodies, old cigarettes, and pastrami.
The lead member of his entourage gestured to a desk in the corner where Dawn sat across from a cop with brown hair and the chiselled good looks of those losers on the front of men’s magazines. Cade snorted at the frickin’ gigantic shiny badge on the dude’s blue shirt, but his derision faded when the deputy met Cade’s gaze and then reached over the desk to clasp Dawn’s hand.
A growl escaped Cade’s lips. So that was the game. Bastard thought he could put his hands all over Cade’s girl.
Okay. Technically, she wasn’t his girl. But he’d slept with her, wanted to sleep with her again, and he’d had a good time with her and her kids on Sunday afternoon. Hell, he’d even missed joining Gunner and Sparky at a little pool party with Delilah and the girls from Peelers Strip Club. Now, that was something he would never live down.
His gaze still on Cade, the deputy stroked Dawn’s hand.
How fucking pathetic. Was that his idea of a challenge? Seated at his fucking desk in a collared shirt, patting Dawn’s hand? He’d give anything right now to get the deputy outside in the alley. Pansy ass would go down with one punch. Guaranteed. And the guy was an idiot if he thought he’d rile Cade up enough to risk assaulting a police officer. Not that Cade was afraid of doing time, but he had business to take care of first, and item number one was to get the deputy’s paws off his woman.
“Thought you were done with bikers,” the deputy said, loud enough for Cade to hear. Cade snorted and put more effort into thudding his boots across the tiles and rattling the chain hanging from his belt.
Let the fucking games begin.
