Review: The Perfect Game (The Perfect Game #1)

15783307The Perfect Game (The Perfect Game #1) by J. Sterling

Publisher: Lake Union, 2013
379 pages, kindle edition
Source: Purchased from Amazon
Release Date: June 25th 2013
Genre: New Adult, Young Adult, Romance, Sports, College, Contemporary, Chick-Lit

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
He's a game she never intended to play.
And she's the game changer he never knew he needed.

The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind... like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.

They're both damaged, filled with mistrust and guarded before they find one another (and themselves) in this emotional journey about love and forgiveness. Strap yourselves for a ride that will not only break your heart, but put it back together.

Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful...

My Review:
I love sport romances but some character can be immature in most new adult books and that causes problems for people reading the books.

That is kind of what happened in this book but there wasn’t a lot of it in this book. The book kicked off great and one of the main characters Cassie, she was the perfect girl in the beginning feisty and she even had some spunk. With drooling of the man whore jock Jack chasing her, she stood her ground when it came to him and she did not relent with his bad boy reputation intake. Then she would do something which showed lack of common sense and that would make me want to throw things not my kindle of course, but she could be frustrating.

I could say we all loved the bad boy falling for the good girl and change his ways with the snap of your fingers just like Jack, though I do not like characters who instantly change but tell me what girl doesn’t like a guy who does not fight his feelings for a girl he likes, like Cassie. He wanted her with everything he had and went for it and grabbed at with all his might. Yeap, he made the mistake but he did show his love for Cassie with everything he had. I thought what he did was a shit move and is paying for his consequences and bad choice but he is a good guy.

Author Bio:
I got fired from my last job. It's true. I know you're sitting there thinking "Jenn, how could anyone in their right mind fire someone as amazing and awesome as you???" And i'd love to give you a good reason, but the truth is- being this awesome is clearly very scary to other less awesome people.

So I said screw them and started writing my first book. And you know what I realized? Writing books that mean something to me is a million times better than working for my ass off for someone who doesn't really care about anything other than the bottom line.

My soul feels more satisfied.
My heart, more full.

So thank you for reading, loving and recommending the stories I write.
I appreciate it more than you know.

Review: Exposed (Russkaya Mafiya/Oath Keepers MC #2)

25052131Exposed (Russkaya Mafiya/Oath Keepers MC #2) by Sapphire Knight

Publisher: Sapphire Knight, 2015
162 pages, kindle edition
Source: Purchased from Amazon
Release Date: April 16th 2015
Genre: New Adult, Romance, Biker
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | Amazon AU | Amazon UK

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Spin off of Secrets
A Russkaya Mafiya/Oath Keepers MC Novel
London/Cain/Cameron's story

Cameron
I cared about fun. I cared about getting through school and my future with the mafia.
That is until I was wrecked by London Layla Traverson’s secret and a grimy biker.

Cain
I cared about my bike, fighting and my club- The Oath Keepers MC.
Well, up until I saw London Layla Traverson’s icy blue eye’s again.

London
I had to get to Tennessee to help Emily as fast as possible.
She was in trouble and I knew what was coming for her.
No one had any idea I had a secret of my own.
A secret that was big enough to change our lives.
Who knew with Cameron and Cain,
our secrets would all become Exposed.

This is book 2 in the Series. Secrets MUST be read first!

My Review:
This book is the second one in the series and man I was not disappointed at all the first book was awesome and this book was awesome is well. Even though it doesn’t connect to the previous book Secrets, it does however have a couple characters from the previous book that you should read before reading this book. But with that all being said you could maybe read it as a stand-alone as it is a whole new story. When you are reading this it reminds you of SOA. Mr. Cain has this swagger to him and to be truly honest you cannot beat a hot sexy male with tattoos and a bike.

My feelings about Cam have been shoot into the ground and stomped on, on one side he is like a nice guy but then you turn to the other side and he will flip into a guy who demands things. I am all about hot sexy alpha males but somethings about his attitude/demeanor turns me the hell off. But I’m guessing and hopping London makes the right choice and stays with Cain, they seem to have this relaxing and true talking chemistry between them. It was a fantastic story with unbelievable amazing characters and I am very glad that I had the chance to read this book and they got their happily ever after.

Review: Falling For Sakura (Falling For Sakura #1)

Falling For Sakura (Falling For Sakura #1) by Alexia Praks

Publisher: Prachan Press, 2014
338 pages, paperback
Source: Purchased through Amazon
Release Date: June 26th 2014
Genre: Young Adult, New Adult, Romance, Contemporary,
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | Amazon AU | Amazon UK

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
This is a reverse harem romance, which involves multiple men falling in love with one heroine. If you like a contemporary romance with seven bishonens heroes pursuing one pretty young woman with all the love, angst, and drama that you’d expected from this genre, then this is the book for you.

One young woman.
Seven brothers.
When she falls in love with two,
which brother will she choose?

In Japan, Sakura is the beautiful cherry blossom that blooms vibrantly in spring and symbolizes the insightful Buddhist phrase mono no aware, which means the pathos of things, a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life. FALLING FOR SAKURA is the story of Caucasian-Japanese Sakura, her journey to finding herself, and her torn love for two very different brothers, Sebastian and Darcy Princeton.

Orphan Sakura, with no last name, is accustomed to being rejected, hated, bullied, and unloved. When she is adopted by the wealthy Princeton family, her seven brothers refuse to accept her, and her two sisters constantly bully her. Instead of admitting defeat, she gladly takes on her new life with a brave face, working hard to earn her new siblings’ trust and love. Her endeavor, however, ultimately leads to a series of unfortunate incidents.

Now years later, the twenty-three-year-old beauty dreads the moment she once again has to meet the drop-dead gorgeous brothers, due to arrive for their cousin’s wedding. Dodging their very presence is next to impossible since the brothers, who have forgotten who she is entirely, are attracted to her like moths to a flame and thwart her escapes at every turn. This, of course, leads to ungodly, tempting situations, awakens forbidden feelings, and ignites old flames that have been suppressed and laid dormant for many years. When she finds them competing for her—NOT for her sisterly affection, which she still deeply craves, but for her love as a woman—she is torn between Sebastian Princeton, the brother who loves her and watches over her from a distance, and Darcy Princeton, the brother who was once her best friend and now secretly yearns for her forgiveness and her love once again.

My Review:
Well I have to say that the multiple point of view really did work very well and it went smoothly in the book, I have never read any other book like it and I have to say it was a good and fun read. You can understand all the characters perspectives to the situation in front of them. But depending on the person I think not everyone will be into the book, but for those who are you would love this book, for myself I really did enjoy the book from the beginning to the last full stop. I felt that Sakura definitely had a strong willed attitude to many situations as well as a little weak willed in others which complimented each other with perfection.

The details of this book were perfect although personally, I hoped to see more details of the surroundings even though that was not the main focus I still felt just a little more detail would attach to the detail of the characters more perfectly. But however some surroundings were described really well and I was so engrossed with the book regard less of the details surrounding it. But the different scenes were described in detail with the intense scenes being and the funny scenes being funny leaving you craving for more throughout the entire book.

The ending for this book was also well written affecting the reader with multiple thoughts of what to expect in the next book. I think the author has really explored the thoughts of what each character would feel, think and behave in that time and the readers can grow attach to the characters and portray their hate for the villains (the sister and the adopted sister and the high school bully). But overall I think this book was one of my top reads and it was fan-bloody-tastic, it really left a very good impression with me and I’m craving for more and I can’t wait for the next book to come out and I want to find out what happens in the next book.

Romance Author Alexia Praks
As a Cambodian-Kiwi gal growing up in a diverse cultural environment, I find romance and multicultural very fascinating. That’s why I like to write about the relationship between two people from very different racial background falling in love, no matter if it is set in a contemporary or a fantasy world.

Apart from working as a full time Medical Lab Scientist and occasionally losing myself in my own dream realm where hunky heroes and sweet heroines fight for their happily ever after, I loves self-cultivation (who doesn’t?), am fascinated about Bazi (four pillar of destiny), and dream of one day having my very own chef to cook me amazing food every day, second of course from finding myself a hunky hero.

I’m going to break his heart, but mine will shatter right along with it.

Will we lose it all when I reveal what’s beneath this mask?

My Review:
Author Meghan March’s second Novel, it is the first ever book I have read by her and I liked it! This book was sexy edgy, and very emotional. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, which is Con’s book! Charlotte Agoston is on the run from her past, her family name was publicly tarnished. Everyone knows who she is and after her father was convicted of stealing billions of dollars from thousands of innocent people, she decides the only way to move forward is to hide her identity and run away. She goes to one of the best places on Earth, New Orleans Louisiana.

This boo picks up after nearly a year after she started her new life as “Charlie” Charlotte Agsoston wore designer studs. While Charlie wears tattoos and converse shoes proudly. Working in Voodoo Ink, a local tattoo parlor, her plan to stay out of the public eye is going well up until a certain someone waltzes right through the shops front door and charms the pants off of her, Simon Duchesne.

I loved the pull and push of Simon and Charlie’s relationship, when she found out who he is and learned of his family’s rather public image, she wants to run but Simon is a very good chaser. Both Simon and Charlie have ghosts in their own pass, as the 2 of them get closer, Simon starts to trust Charlie with one of his secrets. But Charlie is scared to share her own secrets, but before long she soon realises her heart is in too deep with Simon. He makes her want to stay and she allows herself to be caught up in him regardless of all the consequences all because of the way he made her feel. I highly recommend you get your hands on this book it is great, it’s an enjoyable read and lots of fun.

Review: Obligation (Underground Kings #2)

Obligation (Underground Kings #2) by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Publisher: Self-published, 2015
215 pages, kindle edition
Source: Purchased through Amazon
Release Date: February 11th 2015
Genre: New Adult, Romance, Contemporary, Abuse, Erotica, Suspense
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | Amazon AU | Amazon UK

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
This is a standalone by an author who believes in love at first sight.

[ob-li-gey-shuh n]
An obligation is a course of action that someone is required to take, whether legal or moral.

At six years old, Myla was sent to a family her father and mother had chosen for her when they knew their time on earth was almost up. What they were unaware of was what they thought would be her safe haven would become her living hell.

Kai has been watching Myla from afar since he took over the family business from his father and inherited the responsibility of keeping her safe. When word gets back to Kai that Myla is not only in danger, but that his assets are being compromised, he immediately jumps into action and does the only thing that can be done at the time by marrying her.

Neither Myla nor Kai would have thought that something that started off as a farce would become the most important thing either of them could've ever done.

My Review:
Kai is the protector of Myla, he is fighting to gain a better life for future generations. He wants clean hands and safety for his children that will come into the world, I love how alpha yet gentle Kai was with Myla, he wanted Myla to trust him and share her secrets. Kai will stop at nothing to exorcise Myla’s demons. But will Myla ever share what haunts her most?

Aurora Rose Reynolds gives us a story about family and love, I was absolutely taken with Kai and Myla’s families. They were very embracive  when it came to Myla. And OMG Uncle Frank was bloody hilarious, there were so many funny scenes that had me rolling on the floor laughing my ass off. I just couldn't figure out how Uncle Frank could get himself into the messes that he did. Especially when it came to Myla. Kai had his hands full when it came to Myla and Uncle Frank hanging out together. I’m telling you readers will have tears of laughter in their eyes you can’t help it when it comes to Myla and Uncle Frank.

This book is so worth the 5 butterflies. There is action between each page of this book, from the very beginning to the last page. I can tell you that this book and along with all her books before this I have re-read them time after time. This book was like all her previous books it was hard to put down and not try to start reading it again. Time flew from beginning to the end. Everything around was put on hold till I could finish this, it gets like that when it is one of your favorite authors.

Review: Finding Out (Hawks MC #2.5)

Finding Out (Hawks MC #2.5) by Lila Rose

Publisher:
Source:
Release Date:
Genre:
Links:

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
In a moment of weakness, Ivy Morrison tells a lie, a lie which will leave her scrambling for a solution and quick. The perfect solution comes well-packaged in the form of broody and sinfully sexy Fox Kilpatrick, courtesy of Find Your Soul Mate online dating service. Desperate times is most definitely a call for desperate measures. With no other choice, Ivy convinces passionate yet possessive Fox to help her in her time of need.

Fox 'Killer' Kilpatrick is still caught up in his past, a past of anger and death, which his biker brothers desperately want him to recover from. Losing a bet, Killer finds himself on a blind date with Ivy, the woman who is set to turn his world upside down.

Following your heart is never easy, neither is following an unknown path, but finding out may just be worth the journey to possibility. Only together, will Ivy and Killer discover if it was worth the risk after all.

My Review:
Ivy Morrison needs a date, she needs a date who will pretend he is the love of her life for the last two years, named Max, and is a cop. In a last ditch effort to find one, Ivy accepts a date from a dating website only to find an instant attraction to Fox "Killer" Kirkpatrick.

Fox sees something adorable in the rambling woman who says what she is thinking and then blushes when she realizes it is better kept inside her head. Fox realizes immediately his heart is open once again and he wants Ivy in his life. When he finds out someone is stalking Ivy he will protect her with every fiber of his being.

This was a fun one, Ivy is a chatterbox and Fox is more stoic. I thought the chemistry was there and you get to read about your favorite characters who are creating mischief along the way. Another great read from Lila Rose.

Black Out (Hawks MC #3) by Lila Rose

Release Date: December 13th 2014
Genre: New Adult, Suspense, Drama, Action, Disability, Erotica, Abuse, Romance, Contemporary

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
At twenty-four, Clarinda James has lived a traumatic life. One of the last images she saw before losing her sight was that of her parents' death. The nightmares of that time still haunt her every night.

Taken in at nineteen by her sister, Clary didn’t know there was going to be a price to pay, a price far greater than her blindness. It’s not until Blue walks into her life, she realizes it’s possible to experience the joy of warmth. In her darkness, Blue will become her beacon, her guide. Little does she know that she’ll need to count on Blue more than she thought she would.

She has to…if she wants to stay alive.

Blue Skies is on the lookout for a woman. Always there to support his brothers, Talon and Griz, he’s not a stranger to the craziness of love or life. Nor is he a stranger to making it clear that comments surrounding his name are out of bounds. Despite the often effed-up situations his brothers find themselves in as a result of their women, he’s more than happy to settle down when he finds his missing piece.

After three weeks of seeing a gorgeous redhead in a café, he refuses to let the opportunity pass him by. Building a tentative relationship with Clary is no easy task; she’s damaged. It’s not until he discovers the truth behind her darkness that he willing lays claim to her. He is determined to protect her, no matter the cost. She is irrefutably his.

My review:
This is the third book in the Hawks MC Series and my favorite one so far. It has more substance to it than the last book did. Clary is blind, lives with an evil sister, witnessed her parents’ death, and her only lifeline is meeting Julian and Deanna (a couple members of the girls club which mostly consists of the bikers’ women) at the library.

The characters are all unique and you can’t help but love ’em. The bikers are all rough on the outside and pussycats on the inside. They would do anything for their women and anything to keep them safe. They take Clary under their wings to keep her safe even before she and Blue get together. Once they are together, he makes it clear that she will always be safe with him and that she will always be his.

I love Lila Rose’s sense of humor! I giggled a lot, laughed out loud (at work) once, and laughed until I cried once.

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
He was trouble from the start, but I couldn't resist.
She was the best kind of trouble. The kind that was so wrong, it felt right.

I’ve tried and failed to stay away from him.
I’ve done everything in my power to make her mine and keep her.

He’s almost impossible to say no to.
She never tells me yes.

We’re always fighting.
When we’re not fighting, we’re… well… making up.

He makes me laugh so hard.
I miss her laugh the most.

I'm a liar.
She knows the truth, but won’t admit it.

Sometimes, I wish I'd never met him.
I wish we could meet all over again. I'd do better.

His girlfriend knows.
The guy she’s with is a fool.

I’ll never love anyone like I love him.
She doesn’t love me enough to choose us.

It was the wrong place.
It was the wrong time.

It should have been him.
It will always be her.

This book contains adult situations and is recommended for adult readers.

My Review:
Bait is told in dual points of view through the eyes of Casey and of Blake. These two could not have been more wrong for each other, yet somehow I couldn’t stop rooting from them. They are both written in ways that, on the one hand, you want to love, and on the other hand, you love to hate. Their chemistry is undeniable and the sex is steamy and oh, so satisfying! The dedication that Casey showed, and his inability to let go of what he desired with her was incredibly admirable. There was just something that had me rooting for him, even if he was technically the “other guy”. His chapters are written in a way that gives us the perfect glimpses into his head; it’s impossible to dislike him. My heart continually broke for him, and I honestly don’t know how he found the desire to keep pursuing this relationship. As a reader, you get a true feeling of kismet and that these two characters are meant to be together, which I honestly think is hard to accomplish through print.

As for Blake, I loved the complexity of her character. As the woman who couldn’t choose between two men, you wanted to hate her. For leading both of these men on and not being able to choose between heart and head, you wanted to dislike her. Somehow though, I completely felt and understood her plight. Between the way she is written and her point of view chapters, there was just something about her that made me feel for her. I often found myself getting frustrated with her and internally yelling at my Kindle pushing her to do the opposite of what she was. However, every step she took just made me appreciate the journey she was on a little more. She has a lot of redemption that needs to happen, especially after that ending, but I have absolute faith that M. Mabie will pull through!

This book is one that I know a lot of people may pass over because of the love triangle or cheating aspect. However, I can honestly say that it isn’t like anything I have previously experienced. M. Mabie is such a talented writer that she truly makes you fall in love with these characters. She might make you feel morally ambiguous at times for thinking a certain way, but it’s quite honestly done beautifully. There are scenes in this book that had me laughing out loud, and there were scenes where my heart was utterly breaking. The cliffhanger is rough and left me with so many unanswered questions. I seriously can’t WAIT to get my hands on the next book in this series! Time cannot come fast enough until I’m sucked back into this vortex!

My Rating:

She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.

My Review:

But things change when her best friend forces everything out of her and the man she is infatuated with ends up moving in along with his child who she knew nothing about. Now these 2 have to deal with a whole of crap before they could have their happily ever after.

I really liked this one and thought it was good but I still felt there was something about that was missing. I sort of felt like the stuff with Griz’s baby mama was just glanced over and not made out to be that big of a deal, then I also felt like the age issue thing was placed a bit odd in the book. Other than that I enjoyed the main characters and getting to see more of the previous characters from the first book. There was one other thing as well that bugged me, I really wanted Violet and Travis to have their own book, but I felt like a lot of it was just explained in this one so that kind of bummed me out. But I do look forward to reading more in this amazing series.

Author Bio:

I was born in Brisbane Australia, my step-dad was in the Army which caused us to move around a lot. We finally settled in country Victoria, Australia. I am the youngest of four children and I can say that I was spoilt a bit. I drove my mum crazy when I refused to eat meat at a young age.
Now I live with my husband and two children, and I find myself regretting all the troubles I put my parents through because my monsters are just as picky as I was.
I started writing in 2013 and self-published the first of the Hawks MC Club series Holding Out. The next to follow was something different, I wrote Senseless Attraction, a YA novel. Soon, I was back to the Hawks series with number two Climbing Out. I have more to write in the series, but there will be also be more novels in the humorous erotica genre, like Left to Chance.

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Trevor Mayson had his life planned out - make the family business successful and play the field for a few more years before eventually settling down. Then he sees her. Liz Hayes was beautiful, shy and everything that he could ever want...but she didn't fit into his plans. After Trevor painfully rejects her, Liz finally starts to move on, but Trevor is finding it difficult to truly let her go. It seems the more he tries to stay away, the more intense his feelings for her become. Like a stretched rubber band, he can only take so much before snapping.

Liz Hayes is done waiting for Trevor and isn't interested in getting her heart broken by him again, but Trevor is making it difficult for her to forget him when he shoves his way back into her life.

Can Trevor prove to her that he is worth falling in love with again, and is he ready to change his life plan to let her into his heart?

My Review:
We are introduced to Trevor and Liz in Until November, Trevor is Ash’s brother and Liz is November’s friend. They had a funny relationship in Until November and it made me want to read this book even more.

Trevor messed up pretty bad with Liz, they were the best of friends and they would tell each other things that no one else knew but they grew apart because of Trevor. He freaked out when he knew he was developing strong feelings for her so he pushed her away and ignored her, he still looked out for her though, but what I really mean is he scared guys away from Liz and convinced himself that he was just looking out for her. When Trevor finally managed to get his head out of his ass, he stopped at nothing to get Liz and he was relentless and he was determined not to ruin their relationship again. I just wished there would have been more relentless pursuit on his part, but since he is a Mason so I guess they are all just that irresistible.

Liz was lovely she was not the shy girl who I thought she was like in the first book. She is just very observant and she likes to keep to herself and poor Liz she has always had to deal with immature girls who like to pick on her like they are still in high school. Some of the women in the book were just bloody plain ridiculous, the things they did were insane.

My Review:
Mafia stories have suddenly become 1 of my favs, I have taken a liking to this story with its gritty and raw outline that carries an unyielding and addictive romance in the undercurrent. Secrets caught my eye, Sapphire Knight creates a story that definitely captures this sort of lethal and intense experience. But I was a little discouraged by a few aspects of this story, Emily is a recovering victim, she has also been through a bloody living hell.

Her intrusive nature is to be expected and I feel that the development of the characters shows her still being a little naïve. From the start there are triggers present that I noticed leaving me and second guessing the integrity of her character, a man like Tate with his alpha hotness would be throwing some major red flags for someone with such a past. Now I am not the one to say that it is not possible for such a romance, but you are really guaranteed a lot more than a fraction of encounters here. Also along the same line I was exceptionally confused to see Emily passively disregards the first couple presents left by her ex. Now I would have to understand maybe her desire to have it be nothing and trying to convince herself that she is over analyzing, but to outright not even question the coincidence of such items seems undeveloped. I felt this was very imperceptive of the character, and not likely to be very realistic in such a scenario.

This alone sets the tone for the remainder of the story. I really feel that Secrets carried so much potential and I continued to push through hoping this would be a rocky start that offered a hidden gem in the end. In general this really is a great start to a story, but it causes some huge mistrust for the validity of the characters. The author is carrying around an abundance of talent and it shines through these pages and tells me this is new. I have my fingers crossed hoping to see more from this author that will allow her to work some of the issues that can only be learned, I excited to read the next novel in the stories.

Review: The Hurricane (The Hurricane #1)

The Hurricane (The Hurricane #1) by R.J. Prescott

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Emily McCarthy is living in fear of a dark and dangerous past. A gifted mathematician, she is little more than a hollow, broken shell, trying desperately to make ends meet long enough to finish her degree.

Through an unlikely friendship with the aging, cantankerous owner of an old boxing gym, Em is thrown into the path of the most dangerous man that she has ever met.

Cormac “the Hurricane” O’Connell is cut, tattooed and dangerous. He is a lethal weapon with no safety and everyone is waiting for the mis-fire. He’s never been knocked out before, but when he meet Em he falls, HARD. Unlike any other girl he’s ever met, she doesn’t want anything from him, but just being around her makes him want to be a better person.

They are polar opposites who were never meant to find each other, but some things are just worth the fight.

My Review:
Emily McCarthy escaped a very abusive stepfather to start a whole new life at the University of College London, she works at a café part time and attends classes. One of her regulars is an older man named Danny, he takes a liking to her and asks her to come and do the books part time for him at his gym.

Cormac O’Connell works construction and is a member of Danny’s gym, from the moment he had laid eyes on Daisy, he has been intrigued, and he is a very gifted fighter but hasn’t put in a lot of effort into training much to Danny’s frustration. When Connor decides that he wants Emily, he also wakes up to the realisation that he cannot spend every night drinking and every day giving a half assed effort into training. So he throws himself into training so that he can win matches and gain sponsors.

Also one of the best aspects of this book is the secondary characters, particularly the other fighters at the gym. As Cormac is wooing over Emily aka Sunshine, he says that he will be fine with being just friends but does things like holding her hand or kisses her. Kieran is a funny and enjoyable character far more relaxed than Cormac. The best man speech he gives is so wonderful. It takes time for the couple to get together only because Emily is afraid of herself and the shamefulness of her past but Cormac told her that he was willing and happy to wait for her.

There are no surprises in the book, the one female friends is portrayed better looking and somewhat promiscuous. I did feel that there was some low level slut going on in the portrayal of the villainous women as loose, makeup wearing, short skirt, big boobed women also not to mention that they are referred to as sluts, I could have seriously done without that.

I was born in Cardiff, South Wales although I left to study law at the University of Bristol, England. Four weeks before graduation I fell in love, and stayed. 10 years later I convinced my crazy, wonderful fire fighter husband to move back to Cardiff with me where we live with our 2 equally crazy sons. Juggling work, writing and family doesn't leave a lot of time, but curling up on the sofa with a cup of tea and a bar of chocolate for family movie night is definitely the best part of my week. 'The Hurricane' is my Debut New Adult Novel.

Review: Rough Justice (Sinner's Tribe MC #1)

Rough Justice (Sinner's Tribe MC #1) by Sarah Castille

Publisher: St. Martini's Papaerback, 2015
385 pages, kindle edition

Release Date: Feburary 3rd 2015
Genre: Adult, Romance, Contemporary, Erotica, Suspense, Thriller, Abuse

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
IT TAKES A GOOD, STRONG WOMAN

Raised in a motorcycle gang, tough, beautiful Arianne Hunter has always dreamed of a normal life. But no sooner does she escape her father’s domineering grasp than she wakes up to find herself in a rival gang’s clubhouse—at the mercy of the dangerously sexy Jagger Knight.

TO TAME A MAN WHO’S HELL ON WHEELS.

The alpha leader of the notorious Sinner’s Tribe, Jagger Knight is all muscle, all biker, and all man. But somewhere inside this hard tattooed outlaw, Arianne senses a kindred spirit—and she can’t ignore their tempestuous attraction. Can she beat him at his own game in a revved-up blaze of glory? Or will their passion spark a war that’s the end of the road for them both?

My Review:
Growing up as a President’s daughter of an outlaw MC the Black Jacks was brutal, but it has taught Arianne “Vexy” Wilder how to stand on her own 2 feet. She is about to use that knowledge to flee the country and start a new life when all hell beings to break loose. But suddenly held captive by her father’s nemesis, the Sinner’s Tribe, Arianne meets her match in their leader Jagger Knight. As their crazy chemistry threatens to blow the roof off the clubhouse she has to decide if she can betray her father and if she can ever walk away from Jagger.

Jagger Knight takes pride in his role as Prez of the Sinner’s Tribe in Conundrum, Montana although he is about to realises it puts a big target on his back. Past events have also shown him that getting involved with a woman can be used against him by his enemies. But when Jagger and his crew of outlaws have no choice but to hold Arianne after a recent attack, he knows better than to get too close to her. Against his better judgement, Jagger gives into the pull that he feels between them, while the battle between the 2 MC’s goes on. Can Jagger also find a way to keep Arianne in his life without getting them all killed in the process?

I seriously would have to rank this story more than five butterflies, Ms. Castille knows how to write hot sizzling romance. Arianne who is brave, independent, and all around female, with our hot dominant alpha male Jagger was absolutely perfection. I loved that it was a toss up between them as to who had the dirtier mouth. This book was a sinful fun. It was very nice to have a heroine who could hold her own with the guys yet who also could completely own her sexuality. Was also a nice change of pace to see 2 very strong characters together.
