My Review:

Mafia stories have suddenly become 1 of my favs, I have taken a liking to this story with its gritty and raw outline that carries an unyielding and addictive romance in the undercurrent. Secrets caught my eye, Sapphire Knight creates a story that definitely captures this sort of lethal and intense experience. But I was a little discouraged by a few aspects of this story, Emily is a recovering victim, she has also been through a bloody living hell.

Her intrusive nature is to be expected and I feel that the development of the characters shows her still being a little naïve. From the start there are triggers present that I noticed leaving me and second guessing the integrity of her character, a man like Tate with his alpha hotness would be throwing some major red flags for someone with such a past. Now I am not the one to say that it is not possible for such a romance, but you are really guaranteed a lot more than a fraction of encounters here. Also along the same line I was exceptionally confused to see Emily passively disregards the first couple presents left by her ex. Now I would have to understand maybe her desire to have it be nothing and trying to convince herself that she is over analyzing, but to outright not even question the coincidence of such items seems undeveloped. I felt this was very imperceptive of the character, and not likely to be very realistic in such a scenario.

This alone sets the tone for the remainder of the story. I really feel that Secrets carried so much potential and I continued to push through hoping this would be a rocky start that offered a hidden gem in the end. In general this really is a great start to a story, but it causes some huge mistrust for the validity of the characters. The author is carrying around an abundance of talent and it shines through these pages and tells me this is new. I have my fingers crossed hoping to see more from this author that will allow her to work some of the issues that can only be learned, I excited to read the next novel in the stories.

My Review:
This book was all about family, trust and faith the ending of becoming nobody carried into this novel as our main character Sam is struggling very hard to continue on with her life without the man of her dreams and her one true love. She then beings to receives a few surprises and is attempting a relationship with a man she knows she will never love, she also bidding her time between her relationship and also her family. But after 4 years her WITSEC handler delivers info that could possible change her entire life.



Sam is a character that has gained and appreciation, she is undergoing many changes in life that could destroy even the toughest people. But no matter what the circumstances she trudges in her voyage, always very willing to go and leave at a second’s moment of notice but having to spend the majority of her life being somebody who is a nobody. Hiding amongst civilization Sam will have to learn how to become a somebody and really exist, will she ever get a normal life? Possible not. But will Sam learn to express what normal is to herself?



This story continued with an amazing flow which was evenly from Being Nobody to this amazing book Becoming Somebody there was absolutely no confusion whatsoever in reopening this story where it ended in Being Nobody. The author Heather D’Agostino wrote so powerfully about a beautiful couple which time nor how much distance could separate their love for one another, I want more about this amazing couple I don’t wish for their story to end please. Fingers crossed they find each other again.

My Review:

This is the story of Elizabeth and Marshall, Elizabeth is a hotel manager with a pretty horrible track recorded in the relationship department. When she meets the handsome stunning marshall she is so attracted to him that she gets very nervous and makes a spectacle of herself every time he is around, she gets flustered with every single encounter they have because she knows she is not beautiful like her twin sister and she refers him to the role of unattainable womanizer. The author Tina Ness has written a beautiful solid story and she does a good job of shattering all Elizabeth’s misconceptions, the honest truth is that both Elizabeth and Marshall come with a lot of baggage that could complicate any relationship between the pair. But they can’t denie the chemistry between them, forcing them to take on this journey of healing and self-awareness.

But one of the reasons this book is so compelling is that Elizabeth is kind of an everyday woman, she has the pretty basic insecurities to which we can all relate to one way or another, particularly the breathlessness that come from interacting with McHottie like Marshall himself.

Also the other reason is that this book is a keeper, Tina Ness Keeps you guessing with every turn of the page and it turns turns that sling from your basic romance novel to a serious love story. But the horrible attack on Elizabeth is not just costly it actually enhances the story and the development of her relationship with Marshall. This story has it all, little bit of mystery here, some relationship baggage there, hot sex here and all time funny characters. Tina Ness has created and imagined a wonderful story to get lost into for a few wee hours.
