Can Duke keep Brianna shielded from his line of duty or will his job destroy them?

My Review:
Thrasher is the first book I have read by this amazing talented author and I absolutely loved every single word and second reading this book. I thought it was a match made in heaven even though it was a quick easy breezy read and flows like magic, I was pulled in from the first word and this story connects you with the characters Duke Thrasher the hot super sexy alpha ex-marine that is loyal and protective to the core and Brianna Hamilton pretty gorgeous humble female that just wants to be free and live her life and not have to live under her patents rules but who also like meddle in her afairs. When it was over I wanted and still needed more from these amazing characters.

Review: The Perfect Game (The Perfect Game #1)

15783307The Perfect Game (The Perfect Game #1) by J. Sterling

Publisher: Lake Union, 2013
379 pages, kindle edition
Source: Purchased from Amazon
Release Date: June 25th 2013
Genre: New Adult, Young Adult, Romance, Sports, College, Contemporary, Chick-Lit

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
He's a game she never intended to play.
And she's the game changer he never knew he needed.

The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind... like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.

They're both damaged, filled with mistrust and guarded before they find one another (and themselves) in this emotional journey about love and forgiveness. Strap yourselves for a ride that will not only break your heart, but put it back together.

Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful...

My Review:
I love sport romances but some character can be immature in most new adult books and that causes problems for people reading the books.

That is kind of what happened in this book but there wasn’t a lot of it in this book. The book kicked off great and one of the main characters Cassie, she was the perfect girl in the beginning feisty and she even had some spunk. With drooling of the man whore jock Jack chasing her, she stood her ground when it came to him and she did not relent with his bad boy reputation intake. Then she would do something which showed lack of common sense and that would make me want to throw things not my kindle of course, but she could be frustrating.

I could say we all loved the bad boy falling for the good girl and change his ways with the snap of your fingers just like Jack, though I do not like characters who instantly change but tell me what girl doesn’t like a guy who does not fight his feelings for a girl he likes, like Cassie. He wanted her with everything he had and went for it and grabbed at with all his might. Yeap, he made the mistake but he did show his love for Cassie with everything he had. I thought what he did was a shit move and is paying for his consequences and bad choice but he is a good guy.

Author Bio:
I got fired from my last job. It's true. I know you're sitting there thinking "Jenn, how could anyone in their right mind fire someone as amazing and awesome as you???" And i'd love to give you a good reason, but the truth is- being this awesome is clearly very scary to other less awesome people.

So I said screw them and started writing my first book. And you know what I realized? Writing books that mean something to me is a million times better than working for my ass off for someone who doesn't really care about anything other than the bottom line.

My soul feels more satisfied.
My heart, more full.

So thank you for reading, loving and recommending the stories I write.
I appreciate it more than you know.

Review: Exposed (Russkaya Mafiya/Oath Keepers MC #2)

25052131Exposed (Russkaya Mafiya/Oath Keepers MC #2) by Sapphire Knight

Publisher: Sapphire Knight, 2015
162 pages, kindle edition
Source: Purchased from Amazon
Release Date: April 16th 2015
Genre: New Adult, Romance, Biker
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | Amazon AU | Amazon UK

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Spin off of Secrets
A Russkaya Mafiya/Oath Keepers MC Novel
London/Cain/Cameron's story

Cameron
I cared about fun. I cared about getting through school and my future with the mafia.
That is until I was wrecked by London Layla Traverson’s secret and a grimy biker.

Cain
I cared about my bike, fighting and my club- The Oath Keepers MC.
Well, up until I saw London Layla Traverson’s icy blue eye’s again.

London
I had to get to Tennessee to help Emily as fast as possible.
She was in trouble and I knew what was coming for her.
No one had any idea I had a secret of my own.
A secret that was big enough to change our lives.
Who knew with Cameron and Cain,
our secrets would all become Exposed.

This is book 2 in the Series. Secrets MUST be read first!

My Review:
This book is the second one in the series and man I was not disappointed at all the first book was awesome and this book was awesome is well. Even though it doesn’t connect to the previous book Secrets, it does however have a couple characters from the previous book that you should read before reading this book. But with that all being said you could maybe read it as a stand-alone as it is a whole new story. When you are reading this it reminds you of SOA. Mr. Cain has this swagger to him and to be truly honest you cannot beat a hot sexy male with tattoos and a bike.

My feelings about Cam have been shoot into the ground and stomped on, on one side he is like a nice guy but then you turn to the other side and he will flip into a guy who demands things. I am all about hot sexy alpha males but somethings about his attitude/demeanor turns me the hell off. But I’m guessing and hopping London makes the right choice and stays with Cain, they seem to have this relaxing and true talking chemistry between them. It was a fantastic story with unbelievable amazing characters and I am very glad that I had the chance to read this book and they got their happily ever after.

ARC Review: Paradise City (Paradise #1)

Paradise City (Paradise #1) by C.J. Duggan

Publisher: Hachette Australia Books
Source: Netgalley
Release Date: April 28th 2015
Genre: New Adult, Young Adult, Romance, Contemporary, Chick-Lit
Links: Goodreads

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
There's bound to be trouble in Paradise . . .

When her parents decide a change will be good for her, seventeen-year-old Lexie Atkinson never expected they'd send her all the way to Paradise City. Coming from a predictable life of home schooling on a rural Australian property, she's sure that Paradise will be amazing. But when she's thrust into a public school without a friendly face in sight, and forced to share a room with her insipid, hateful cousin Amanda, Lexie's not so sure.

Hanging out with the self-proclaimed beach bums of the city, sneaking out, late night parties and parking with boys are all things Lexie's never experienced, but all that's about to change. It's new, terrifying . . . and exciting. But when she meets Luke Ballantine, exciting doesn't even come close to describing her new life. Trouble with a capital T, Luke is impulsive, charming and answers to no one. The resident bad-boy leader of the group, he's sexier than any boy Lexie has ever known.

Amidst the stolen moments of knowing looks and heated touches, Lexie can't help but wonder if Luke is going to be good for her . . . or very, very bad?

My Reviews:
So far I have very much enjoyed Duggan’s other series and was interested when I noticed that she had a new book coming out, I was hoping this book might be a little edgy than her other books. But I did like Lexie straight away, There was something fantastic about her small town girl with these big dreams and her amazing great attitude.

Lexie and Luke were heaps of fun, especially their banter and very funny moments most probably made this entire book seem so fun and very engaging with the secondary characters that I wished had a little bit more flashed out. But it is going to make the excitement to see what comes next in the series and what will be in store for them.

My Rating:

This book is the 3rd in the series of broken written by Kelly Elliott, but this book can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest you read this series in order and I will also say is that you need to buy her other books they may seem cheesy to you but to me I love with them, so everyone each to their own. Bronagh loves Dominic, and what Bronagh loves, Bronagh protects

My Review:
In this book it is Bronagh’s 21st birthday and you are taken on a journey as Dominic tries to make her birthday a little extra special, the things he does for her are so heartwarming you will have tears in your eyes. But my favorite part is about quarter way through the book. You got to read it to get what I’m saying. Parts of this book will have you tearing up and others will have you laughing your ars off.

You also get to see a different side to Bronagh and Dominic’s relationship in this story is well, yes they can argue like cats and dogs but that is just how they are and you also get to see the deeper side to their relationship. You will also get to see how they truly feel for one another and how committed to each other they really are, it is really sweet to see how they interact with another and makes you wish you lived in their world and you wishing you had the something.

Excerpt:
Rules

My breath comes out in puffs, and I watch it because it’s the only diverting thing I can do while I pout outside. I’m shivering but I’m not going in the house, not yet. My plan is to remain stubborn until I can’t take it any longer then I’m going to sleep on the floor in Riley and Deloris’ room. He won’t go in there because of Deloris. At least he has some boundaries.
The door opens behind me and he sticks his head out. “What if I take one of those off the agenda tonight?” he asks, his voice slow.
“What?”
“Talking, spanking, fucking. I’ll take one off the agenda,” he clarifies, coming to stand, in all his glory, forearm pressed against the doorjamb, “if you’ll come inside.” He blinks again for a long time, sways a little, and then stares right into me like he’d done the first time he’d ever laid eyes on me.
“I’m not doing any of that shit,” I tell him, breaking the trance by staring out toward the trees. I’m shaking so hard from the chilled air that my voice sounds like a vibration.
“Fine, you win. Just come inside. My only demand is that you sleep in my bed, where you belong.”
“No.”
“This is my final offer. I’m willing to bend on all the other stuff, even though it would do you some good to get a good spanking. You’d probably like it, which would lead to…you know, the other two in a different order than I’d previously offered.” For whatever reason, he actually makes me smile. It’s a cold-face smile—my lips are numb and my hands are getting stiff.
“Just the sleeping. No talking. No—other stuff.” He nods, smiling, and puts his hand out for me. As I walk toward him, I put my arm out to meet him half way. His hand is as warm as a Christmas evening by the fire. Once I’m inside, he puts his arm around me, his hand sliding down to rest at the small of my back, and walks me down the hall and into his room. Slowly, he pulls down the covers and helps me in like a gentleman helping a lady into a carriage—except he’s in sweats and I’m in mix-matched jammies.
I watch him walk around to his side, and my stomach does a little butterfly flip when he slides in next to me. I cross my legs at the ankle. Off limits.
At first he’s looking up at the ceiling, but then he tilts his head to the side. “You can’t do this, Mia.”
“What can’t I do?”
“What I’m trying to say is you can be mad at me, and I can be really fucking mad at you,” I try not to giggle when he slurs the word ‘fucking,’ “but you can’t shut me out like that,” he whispers and rolls over so he’s facing me. “I’m not even gonna say that you can’t go to bed angry. I’m just going to ask that you sleep with me every night, even if you’re mad. Can you agree to that?”
“I felt weird coming in here after you yelled at me.” He nods, and looks down acknowledging that he hurt me. He looks up, and tunes into me, looking through me, and runs his finger along my jawline.
“Your place is with me. What’s mine is yours. End of story.” He hums a little, the drugs making him melodious.
I want to protest for the sake of protesting, my immaturity peeking out its little baby head. Instead, I swallow and nod. “Okay.” Take that, immaturity.
“Hmmm. That wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be,” his mouth bends into the side smirk he gives only me. I move on to my side and wrap my leg over his.
“So I get my way after all,” he laughs as he smacks me hard on the ass, grabbing it and pulling me on top of him.
“No, you didn’t,” I laugh.
“Even in the order I wanted it. Talking, spanking, fu—” he says, before I take his mouth with mine and pull my shirt over my head. As I look down at him, his face is all soft angles. “You dazzle me,” he says.
“Dazzle, who says that anymore?” I laugh and he stills me with his hands on my hips.
“Well, I’m on all kinds of drugs right now,” he says. “Can’t be responsible for what I say or do.”
“You have to be kidding.”
“Take off your pants. I’ll show you some dazzle,” he adds, and I giggle as his finger runs a soft line up my thigh. He knows that I need this just as much as he does. I sit up straight and unstrap my bra. When he sees my breasts, he swallows hard and his jaw tenses.
I push my pajama pants over the curve of my hips, slowly pulling them down. I’m hesitating because I know this is wrong, he’s wounded, and he probably shouldn’t exert himself. “Take them off,” he demands.
I nod and look him in the eye as I push my pants over my hips, move backward so I’m sitting between his legs, and let him take them off one leg at a time. I can see how ready he is, as I climb over him. My heart is aching as he fists his hand in my hair, running his other hand up my outer thigh, and kisses my lips, flicking my tongue once like I am life and he’s ready to live. I rub my panties against his length as it’s pressing into his stomach. The friction is both exciting and breaking my heart. We almost died. What if I’d lost him?
He fingers my nipple, hardening it before he takes it in his mouth. It’s like a direct line to my core as his tongue moves back and forth before he sucks and squeezes me. I feel my heart constricting, pumping the blood through my veins. I feel like I’m glowing.
I know this is what he needs after the fire, after his fear that we were hurt at the mall. But it’s because he’s never known real love. He lost his mother before he could form a real memory about her. In this moment, I’m grateful that our physical closeness eases his anxiety. But, it makes me move my mouth away from his to catch my breath. When I do, I think too much. I see the wound over his heart and remind myself that he’s a human man—not a rock god. “This could hurt you.”
His fingers travel between us and he moves my panties to the side. I bite my lip as his fingers slide into my soft, wet folds. “Does this hurt?” he murmurs, as my mouth opens and my hips start to move in time with his hand.
“No.” I shake my head, and I can feel my chin start to tremble.

Source: Purchased through Amazon
Release Date: March 20th 2015
Genre: Adult, Romance, Abuse, Drama
Links: Goodreads | Amazon US | Amazon AU | Amazon UK

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Trapped in a marriage since the age of twenty-one, Malinda May is finally free. Having lost her biker husband, she is determined to keep her two teenage children as far away from the MC lifestyle as possible, a lifestyle which has brought her nothing but heartache and fear.

Life is never that simple.

Relentless in their mission to prove to Malinda that not all bikers are bad, the Hawks’ women are determined to support Malinda and her family, whether she wants it or not. In her struggle to keep her distance, Malinda soon battles her desire to keep her family safe or relent and begin to trust the MC.

Tired of women and their mind games, Declan Stoke knows women are only good for keeping his bed warm for a night. Having once thought he’d found the one, he’s no longer willing to put his heart on the line. Even when faced with the temptation of a wounded, sexy woman, he steers clear…well, tries to.

Malinda and Stoke find themselves at an impasse, one seemingly impossible to navigate through. With trouble brewing, life is going to get complicated, and for Malinda, she’s trapped with no way out.

My Review:
I have made it an indulgence to this whole series one book after the other and they are amazing. These books are full of hot sex scenes but that not why I read them. There is something about this group of bikers who take care of each other and their families that intrigues me all the time. Lila Rose’s writing also flows well and these books are a quick and fun read.

In this book all of the same characters are back, but if you have not read the previous book do not what so ever start with this book read them in order you will get a better understanding of the groups dynamics, but these books can be read as a standalone. When one of their members is killed, they find out that he had a wife and 2 kids that no one knew about. They take her into their fold and it is soon very obvious that stoke has fallen for already.

The characters in this series are absolutely great and they are each unique in their own kind of way, especially their women and some of them like Malinda’s neighbor is bloody hilarious and reminds you of hell mouth.

Now I live with my husband and two children, and I find myself regretting all the troubles I put my parents through because my monsters are just as picky as I was.
I started writing in 2013 and self-published the first of the Hawks MC Club series Holding Out. The next to follow was something different, I wrote Senseless Attraction, a YA novel. Soon, I was back to the Hawks series with number two Climbing Out. I have more to write in the series, but there will be also be more novels in the humorous erotica genre, like Left to Chance.

I’m going to break his heart, but mine will shatter right along with it.

Will we lose it all when I reveal what’s beneath this mask?

My Review:
Author Meghan March’s second Novel, it is the first ever book I have read by her and I liked it! This book was sexy edgy, and very emotional. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, which is Con’s book! Charlotte Agoston is on the run from her past, her family name was publicly tarnished. Everyone knows who she is and after her father was convicted of stealing billions of dollars from thousands of innocent people, she decides the only way to move forward is to hide her identity and run away. She goes to one of the best places on Earth, New Orleans Louisiana.

This boo picks up after nearly a year after she started her new life as “Charlie” Charlotte Agsoston wore designer studs. While Charlie wears tattoos and converse shoes proudly. Working in Voodoo Ink, a local tattoo parlor, her plan to stay out of the public eye is going well up until a certain someone waltzes right through the shops front door and charms the pants off of her, Simon Duchesne.

I loved the pull and push of Simon and Charlie’s relationship, when she found out who he is and learned of his family’s rather public image, she wants to run but Simon is a very good chaser. Both Simon and Charlie have ghosts in their own pass, as the 2 of them get closer, Simon starts to trust Charlie with one of his secrets. But Charlie is scared to share her own secrets, but before long she soon realises her heart is in too deep with Simon. He makes her want to stay and she allows herself to be caught up in him regardless of all the consequences all because of the way he made her feel. I highly recommend you get your hands on this book it is great, it’s an enjoyable read and lots of fun.

An obligation is a course of action that someone is required to take, whether legal or moral.

At six years old, Myla was sent to a family her father and mother had chosen for her when they knew their time on earth was almost up. What they were unaware of was what they thought would be her safe haven would become her living hell.

Kai has been watching Myla from afar since he took over the family business from his father and inherited the responsibility of keeping her safe. When word gets back to Kai that Myla is not only in danger, but that his assets are being compromised, he immediately jumps into action and does the only thing that can be done at the time by marrying her.

Neither Myla nor Kai would have thought that something that started off as a farce would become the most important thing either of them could've ever done.

My Review:
Kai is the protector of Myla, he is fighting to gain a better life for future generations. He wants clean hands and safety for his children that will come into the world, I love how alpha yet gentle Kai was with Myla, he wanted Myla to trust him and share her secrets. Kai will stop at nothing to exorcise Myla’s demons. But will Myla ever share what haunts her most?

Aurora Rose Reynolds gives us a story about family and love, I was absolutely taken with Kai and Myla’s families. They were very embracive  when it came to Myla. And OMG Uncle Frank was bloody hilarious, there were so many funny scenes that had me rolling on the floor laughing my ass off. I just couldn't figure out how Uncle Frank could get himself into the messes that he did. Especially when it came to Myla. Kai had his hands full when it came to Myla and Uncle Frank hanging out together. I’m telling you readers will have tears of laughter in their eyes you can’t help it when it comes to Myla and Uncle Frank.

This book is so worth the 5 butterflies. There is action between each page of this book, from the very beginning to the last page. I can tell you that this book and along with all her books before this I have re-read them time after time. This book was like all her previous books it was hard to put down and not try to start reading it again. Time flew from beginning to the end. Everything around was put on hold till I could finish this, it gets like that when it is one of your favorite authors.

Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Zachary McAllister's entire life revolves around hockey and sex, in that order.
When a career-ending injury changes everything, he’s left mourning the life that could have been. Now the owner of a rundown local pub, the ex-NHL star finds himself grappling with his "ordinary" existence, trying to come to terms with a very uncertain future.

His former team is on track to win the 2003 Stanley Cup Championship without him, and preparations are being made for a victory party at the bar.

Enter Avery Brooks.
She’s the straitlaced event planner hired to arrange the party, thanks to her father's connections.
Her father who just happens to be the General Manager for the NJ Devils…
and the guy who handed Zac his walking papers four years ago.

Suddenly, Avery finds herself face-to-face with her teenage crush.
The two had a minor flirtation going on back in the day, when Zac was just an arrogant, womanizing rookie and Avery was a naive, starry-eyed fan.

Their chemistry is undeniable, but both are completely different people than they were all those years ago.

In order for this fiery Devil to melt the heart of an ice princess, Zac will need to up his game.
All he needs to do is relearn everything he ever thought he knew about how to play.

My Review:
This is a great story about misunderstanding and forgiveness, the characters development was in depth. Provided a great opportunity to bond with them, I liked that the author gave clear timelines as the story progressed so it did not feel like everything happened so fast. I liked that the first half was Avery’s point of view and the second half was Zac’s. There was not a lot of repeating. There were some surprising touches of humor as well. This is a new author to me and I am excited to try more.

Avery has been around hockey players her whole life. She know what playboys they can be, so when she meets Xac ‘Maniac’ McAllister, she immediately puts him in the friend zone. But after 3 years she then decides to take a chance.

Zac gets traded to Dallas after one of the best nights of his life, he suspects Avery had something to do with it. But he gets injured before his first season with the new team is over. 4 years later he is still bitter and back in Jersey running his father’s bar, when Avery strolls back into his life. Will this be his chance to make everything right and try again? But all he knows for sure is that she is the only person who makes him feel again.

Book Blitz: Ropes and Revenge (Lonesome Point Texas #6) by Jessie Evans (Excerpt + Interview + Giveaway)

Publisher: Michael Fedele
Release Date: 14th April 2015
Genre: Adult, Suspense

Synopsis:
Eight months ago, John Lawson lost his wife and best friend in a tragic accident on his family’s ranch. In the time since, he’s devoted himself to two things—taking care of his two newly motherless sons and proving that Lily’s accident was no accident. Now, he finally has hard evidence that his wife was murdered and he won’t rest until he has the killer’s blood on his hands. He doesn’t have time for anything but vengeance, especially not a crazy ghost hunter wanting to poke around the old spring on his family’s ranch.

Persephone Styles—Percy to her friends—learned about ghosts the hard way, when she was orphaned by a violent crime at the age of seven. Ever since, she’s seen spirits and been obsessed with studying souls beyond the grave. She’s in Lonesome Point to document the town’s spectral activity, but finds herself powerfully drawn to widower John Lawson and empathizing with his grieving children. For the first time in years, Percy is as riveted by the living as she’s always been by the dead and longs to be a part of John’s life.

But when one night of passion becomes something more, Percy realizes John is as haunted as she is and that the man she’s coming to love is walking a dangerous road that may end with him becoming a murderer’s next victim.

Excerpt:
asdf“I’m not good with people,” Persephone said, holding his gaze for a long beat before she continued. “I don’t know what to say to help them feel better when they’re hurting, but sometimes I can help them by helping the people they loved. I know you don’t believe in ghosts, but I do and I care about them and I want to help them find peace. That’s all. I believe everyone deserves peace, don’t you?”
“I believe people don’t get what they deserve,” John said, his voice rough. “Now leave. Please.”
She had to leave before the earnest look on her beautiful face or the empathy shining in her eyes broke him and he started spilling his guts to a total stranger. This woman didn’t deserve to know that his wife was dead or that he still mourned her like it had happened yesterday, not seven months ago. She didn’t deserve to know that a weak, pathetic part of him almost wanted to believe in ghosts, just so he might have some hope of communicating with Lily, of being able to tell her how much he loved her one more time.
But that’s what people like this woman counted on.
“John, please,” Persephone whispered in her feather soft voice. “Let me help if I can.”
His stomach went sour. Persephone probably already knew that Lily had died last spring. She would have done her research before coming here to prey on his grief the way charlatans like her had preyed on the suffering for centuries. If he gave her another ten minutes, he had little doubt she would be offering to help him contact Lily on the other side.
For a fee, of course. A fee he was sure dozens of sad fools had paid her through the years, but he wasn’t going to be one of them.
“Get off my land,” he repeated in a firmer voice. “I have nothing to say to you and I don’t want, or need, your kind of help.”
Her thin shoulders slumped and a defeated expression tightened her delicate features. “All right. Well, I… I guess I should know better by now,” she mumbled as she turned to walk toward the four-wheeler.

“Know better than to try to scam people?”
She slid one leg over the four-wheeler before turning to face him, giving him a moment to register how out of place this elegant person looked on the dusty red machine before she spoke. “I should know better than to reach out to people like you, but I can’t help myself. I keep hoping…” She shook her head wistfully. “But I suppose I’ll grow out of that, sooner or later.”
She reached for the ignition. “Good luck, John. I hope things get better for you soon.”
John crossed his arms and watched her go, determined to keep his expression impassive. He didn’t want her to know how shitty the seemingly genuine concern in her voice made him feel. He didn’t want to think about being part of the reason someone stopped hoping to forge connections with people different than themselves.
Lily had been totally different than the girls he’d dated before her. Until he’d met his freckle-faced, sass-talking, no-bullshit wife, he’d dated women who took far better care of their outsides than their insides. He’d been a sucker for a pretty face and a nice rack and hadn’t looked too far beneath the surface.
And then he’d met Lily and learned what a difference a heart made. She had taught him how to love, pushed him out of his emotional comfort zone, and refused to settle for less than everything he had to give. He’d fought her at first—determined to hold her at the same distance he’d held other girls—but with a mixture of stubbornness, humor, and kisses that took his breath away, she’d worn him down until he was putty in her hands.
On the day they were married, he’d been certain he would never love anyone more than he loved her that afternoon. But their love had grown deeper and stronger with every passing year. By the time they celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary, John had felt like she was a part of him, so deeply ingrained in his heart and dear to his soul nothing could tear them apart.
But death had ripped her away and taken the best parts of him along with her.
“Jesus, Lily.” John bowed his head, his breath rushing out with a defeated sound. “See what an asshole I am without you?”
He waited, a pathetic part of him hoping he might hear her voice in his head again, the way he had Halloween night. But there was nothing but the sound of some critter digging in the ground on the far side of the stream, the gentle burble of water over stones from farther up the mountain, and Darcy snuffling as she sniffed the ground where Persephone Styles had stood a few moments before.

Q & A with author:
Tell us something about yourself, both as a writer and as a person?
As a writer I am dedicated, reliable, passionate, and determined to tell the best story I can possibly tell. As a person I am loyal, silly, and always looking for a reason to laugh.

When did you realise you wanted to become a writer?
I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was little. Playing pretend for a living seemed like the most wonderful thing ever.

How did you come up with the idea and how did you create the characters?
Honestly, I have no idea! My brain is a mystery to me. Stuff just pops up. These people come to life on the page and then I go back and flesh them out with more specific characteristics during my second and third drafts. Now that I’ve finished the series, however, the town is populated by people that feel real to me. I talk to my husband about them all the time and he thinks I’m crazy, lol.

Where can readers find you?
Everywhere! Lol. Hope to see you all around the web.
